September 21-25 Wrap Up Assign 1-3 intro to Assign 4 Ted Talk Project

Attendance

Ensure you have Assignment 1, 2 and 3 uploaded to Teams. 

If you were away last Thursday (due to the RMR Trip) you may have today. to finish up Assign 3.  

Assign 3 on Teams -All About Me Collage Project 

If you are done Assign 3 you can move onto Assign 4 in Teams - Ted Talk Summary - Careers Project. 

Task 1 - take the block - view a variety of short 10-20 min Ted Talks on any of the following you are interested in. 

* Careers

* Happiness

* Life & Career 

* Travel 

I recommend selecting a talk to review/summarize that is about 10-15 min in length. Shorter won't provide you with much content, too long and you will be writing your assignment for this task for a number of weeks then.

Review: How do you write a summary? 

Pick out a min of 3-4 points that are presented within the talk that you end up selecting as your focus for this assignment. 

Start your paragraph. 

Formula for your paragraph below.

Intro the topic and speaker, perhaps talk about why you selected the talk. 

Highlight the 3-4 points that stood out to you. 

Conclude your paragraph - perhaps state whether you agree or not with the speakers stance, or why you agree or not with the perspective of the talk, or perhaps what point stood out to you the most and why. Wrap your paragraph up with your own perspective/interpretation of your selected Ted Talk. 

Once your Ted Talk Paragraph is complete you can upload it to Assignment 4 inside Teams.
