Students selected groups last week re: the below project. Max group size as a reminder is 5. Students have the block to research and create their hazard posters. Info re: poster project is below. Groups. Please be ready to present your posters during the last 15 min of class. 

WorkSafe BC Group Poster Project.

With your assigned groups please create a Work Safe Poster re: your assigned group topic including;

General Workplace Hazards - Spills - Proper Progression - How to deal with non-toxic spills appropriately. (Refer to WorkSafe BC recommendations). - Sam's group.

Health and Hygiene - Washing Hands - Proper Washing Hands Progression. (Refer to WorkSafe BC recommendations) - Maddy's group. 

Covid19 Safety- Mask Wearing/Cleaning Requirements (Refer to WorkSafe BC recommendations) Danica's group.

Lifting Safety - Proper Lifting Progression (Refer to WorkSafe BC recommendations) (Owen and Oskar)

Chemicals in the workplace - common chemical symbols in the workplace. (Refer to WorkSafe BC recommendations) - (Paskal's group)

Make sure ALL group names are on your poster pls! Due by end of class.

Hazards  What unsafe conditions or acts are there? SEE IT What could happen as a result of an unsafe act or condition? THINK IT What must be done to eliminate or minimize the hazard? DO IT  Hazards exist in our life, including at work, home, school and at social events. We need to develop skills to be able to recognize, evaluate and control these hazards before injury occurs.  What potential hazards exist in a class setting or other classes in the school? What hazards could be created in a class setting or other classes due to unsafe practices or poor safety procedures?
